Images of changing times—thank you Germaine Greer

Germaine GreerIn today’s post, I will probably come across as an angry old white guy, and that is probably due to the fact that I am. What am I supposed to be; should I be happy seeing the world erode around me; should I be burying my head in the sand and going ‘oh. I’m so bloody happy at what liberalism is delivering?’ Sorry, I can’t be that stupid, only a liberal can be that person.

As conservatives, if we look back and try to identify where modern liberalism began—I mean the liberalism that has turned this world upside-down; the liberalism that has turned good into bad and wrong into right, etc—we need not look further than Germaine Greer. Obviously not all the blame can be laid at her feet, but she was a big contributor; prior to Greer’s feminism in the 70’s, the world was pretty conservative. In New Zealand, for example, both the National Party and the Labour Party at that time were pretty much conservative; the National Party was primarily focused on helping farmers and private-sector businesses, whereas the Labour Party focused on the working man. Even though they were different, they both worked for the family and family values—and when I say family, I mean a mum and a dad and two or three kids, and definitely not this daddy and daddy nonsense.

Then Germaine Greer rocked up and everything began to change rapidly; more feminists—quasi lesbians to be exact—entered politics and started pushing their radical agenda for gender neutrality; at this point nature began changing; the natural roles for men and the natural roles for women started to get blurred and the gender bending began.

Women used to wear dresses

Women used to wear dresses, but now they wear men’s clothes and do men’s jobs.

Then, these feminists began their attack on the family by de-stigmatising divorce and promoting solo parenting and domestic-purposes welfare; the move away from personal responsibility to welfare dependency began.

Personal responsibility vs welfare dependency

Husbands and wives used be personally responsible, but now husbands are a thing of the past; the government is now the new husband.

Then these quasi lesbians allied by other gay politicians and heterosexual apologists started their push to further smash the family with gay marriage.

mummy and daddy to daddy and daddy

Children used to have a mummy and a daddy, then they got only a mummy, and now they’re getting a daddy and a daddy—God forbid!

Then these feminists allied by other Western-Christianity apologists latched on to cultural relativism, and their push for multiculturalism began.

Monoculturalism to multiculturalism

The West used to be primarily monocultural, but now it is multicultural.

Then these feminists allied by other politically-correct liberals latched onto human rights and began their drive to make criminals victims and victims criminals, and their drive not to punish criminals began.

old prison vs new prison

We used to have real prisons, but now they resemble hotels.

And to put the icing on the cake, after creating a world without any discipline, any personal responsibility and any accountability they decided to buy young voters with ultra-alcohol freedom.

drunks

We used to have responsible drinkers, but now we have 24-hour bars and out-of-control thugs.

Thank you Germaine Greer.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
