Funny: This would have to be one of the best answers to a tax-return question I have ever seen

The following newspaper clip about a British tax return is one of the best I’ve seen. I have added a comment below.

Tax return

Comment:

To answer the same question in New Zealand, I would have to include the following as dependents:

  • approximately 160,000 unemployed people.
  • approximately 8,700 within the prison system.
  • approximately 50,000 brain-dead liberal teachers.
  • approximately 97,000 on the domestic purpose’s benefit.
  • approximately 58,000 working-age people on a sickness benefit (of which 33% are Maori and Pacific Islanders).
  • 14,000 immigrants who are receiving our superannuation, which they haven’t paid for.
  • 121 members of parliament.
  • the entire Department of Immigration.
  • Iwi.
  • University students (Barry's addition from comments).
  • All immigrants who sponge on our free healthcare after being permitted entry with obvious medical conditions (Mawm's addition from comments).

I have probably missed some; if I have let me know and I will add them to the list.

Bravo Terry! There are probably more - eg most university students - but you covered a lot of the worst parasites!

Bravo, Terry! I'd add most university students - but I think you included a lot of the worst parasites.

Thanks, Barry, I will add that one.

Also the health care of those immigrants who are allowed in despite having obvious and expensive medical conditions, eg morbid obesity, diabetes, heart disease, TB and AIDS. Most of them also require the cost of an interpreter for every interaction with a health care provider (yuck!).

Mawm, I'll add that one.
