1. Most of the editing buttons used on this site are straight forward. For more information on all the buttons, click here. Please note that only essential blogging-type buttons have been installed on this site.
2. For security reasons, only Trusted Users can insert images and videos from the internet.
3. There are two ways to post images: 1. from your computer 2. from the internet.
1. When writing a blog post Authenticated Users can upload up to two images from their own computers. This is done via the Add new file form just below the Body form.
2. Important note: Images larger than 450px wide are automatically reduced to 450px and are automatically positioned at the bottom of the post.
Trusted Users can insert images into blog posts and comments. To do this follow these steps:
1. Make sure your editor is set to Full HTML then type or paste your text in first.
2. To insert a small image at the top left corner of your post enabling the text to wrap around it, do this:
a) Make sure your cursor is placed at the beginning of the text then click the image button
and this form will come up:

b) You only need to fill in the Image Info form.
c) Insert the image URL.
d) Write a short title for your picture in the Alternative Text box. This is hidden; it is just used to make the image easier to read for Google images.
e) Set the size of the image to 200 wide. Make sure the little padlock is locked and change the width and the height will change automatically.
f) Leave Border empty. Set HSpace and VSpace to '5'
g) Set the alignment to Left and click OK.
3. If you want to insert a bigger image (350px to 450px) in the body of the document the text won't wrap around it very well, so it better to do this:
a) Place your cursor where you want the image to go (between paragaphs) an then do the same as above except set your image size to 450 or smaller to 350 and leave the alignment at not set.
b) Click OK and your image will go to the left between the paragraphs.
Trusted Users can insert videos into blog posts and comments. To do this follow these steps:
1. Make sure your editor is set to Full HTML then type or paste your text in first.
2. Make sure you have written at least a paragraph before inserting a video. Do not insert a video at the top of a post or comment.
3. Place your cursor where you want the video to go (between paragraph) then click the image button
and this form will come up:

4. You only need to fill in the General form.
5. Insert the video URL. The easiest way to do this is to copy the embed html (from YouTube for example) and when pasted into the Iframeproperties URL form you wll get this:
<iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/eaE98w1KZ-c?feature=player_embedded" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Important note: As the Iframe properties URL form above only accepts the base URL address (highlighted), you need to delete the iframe html elements (including the quotation marks) until you get this:
http://www.youtube.com/embed/eaE98w1KZ-c?feature=player_embedded then continue to the next step.
6. Set the video size to 450px wide X 250px high.
7. Set the alignment to Bottom and click OK and the video will go to the left between the paragraphs.
